Character Education

Character Ed

The Bell Oak Character Education program is based on the Character Counts – Six Pillars program we mirrored with the help of the Josephson Institute in Colorado.  Each month our students are asked to reflect on six different character words – TRUSTWORTHINESS, RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, FAIRNESS, CARING & CITIZENSHIP.  Many different activities are held throughout the year to help our students understand the true meaning of character.  Our service projects help take these lessons to another level as grades seven and eight embark on community related activities that leave a lifelong impression.

I pledge to be a person of Character.

I will be worthy of trust.

I will be respectful and responsible, doing what I must.

I will act with fairness.

I will show that I care.

I will be a good citizen and always do my share.
