Mr. Clancy is a music educator, and also performs as a professional choral musician, dancer, and actor.
He was hired in August 2015 to fill the role as the Chorale teacher at Bell Oaks.  
He was recently hired in May of 2016 to be the new K-4 music teacher in the Bellmawr School district and has found a great home here in Bellmawr.

He finished teaching in the last quarter of the 2015-2016 year at Montgomery Lower Middle School in Skillman, NJ, where he was filling a maternity leave replacement. He taught fifth and sixth-grade chorus and beginning band. 
Prior to Montgomery, Mr. Clancy student taught at four of the five Haddonfield School District schools under the tutelage of Polly Murray and worked as an accompanist and consultant for ChildrenSong of New Jersey.  
His second placement was at Audubon High School under the tutelage of Duane Trowbridge.  

Prior to getting hired at Bell Oaks, Mr. Clancy taught marching band, color guard, and dance at various schools and studios since the year 2009 and continues.  He is currently the assistant band director at Cinnaminson High School under colleague Deb Knisely, band director.  He is a member of the National Judges Association for Tournament Indoor Association and judges the Movement caption for winter guards, dance teams, and twirling teams during the winter and spring seasons.

As a freelance musician, Mr Clancy has performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall and The Kimmel Center.  Notable professional ensembles he performed with include Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, where he performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra this holiday season, The Princeton Singers, The Philadelphia Singers, Manhattan Chorale (New York, NY), Manhattan Concert Productions (New York, NY), DCINY (New York, NY), St. Luke and the Epiphany Chapel Choir, and currently Haddonfield United Methodist Church Chancel Choir and the MasterChorale at HUMC.  He sang in the world premiere of Dreamweaver by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo in May, 2014, with Manhattan Chorale and the composer himself at Carnegie Hall.

As a dancer, Mr Clancy has choreographed musical theatre, ballet, modern dance, and jazz for various studios and independent theatre companies.  He was on the roster of the Philadelphia-based modern dance company Reverie in the year 2014.  He also had the privilege of winning a bronze medal with The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps in the year of 2013 as a member of the color guard.  Mr. Clancy also has performed with Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps (2011) and Black Watch winter guard (2010 & 2011)

As an actor, Mr. Clancy has been involved with regional theatre since the age of thirteen.  He has been involved with over fifty productions and has performed in almost half of them in various roles.  Notable professional credits include John Jasper (Mystery of Edwin Drood), Mungojerrie/Macavity (CATS), Bobby (A Chorus Line), A-Rab (West Side Story) and various ensemble credits in shows like Aida, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Jekyll & Hyde, Shrek, Seussical, and others. 

Mr. Clancy hopes to use his expertise to create a rich arts education to the students who enter the chorale program.  As an alumni of Bell Oaks and the Bellmawr School system, he is proud to be back and giving back to the students of this small but mighty town.
